The Crown: Arbiter labels Princess Diana as 'the manipulator'
Prince Charles, 72, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, 73, marked the end of lockdown with an important engagement on Thursday. The royal couple visited The 100 Club in Soho in order to mark the re-opening of London’s nightlife. During the visit to the world’s oldest grassroots music club, Camilla and Prince Charles displayed opposing body language which may be a reaction to the recent backlash they have faced following the release of season four of The Crown.
Earlier this month, the royal couple suspended comments on their Clarence House Twitter account after they receive a barrage of hate from vile trolls reacting to how their affair had been portrayed in the Netflix drama.
Season four of the serious centres on the breakdown of Prince Charles’s marriage to his first wife Princess Diana and details his affair with Camilla.
While The Crown is a fictional account of royal history, Camilla and Charles have been trolled nonetheless.
Body language expert and author Judi James analysed photos of Charles and Camilla at The 100 Club and shared her findings.

According to the expert, Camilla seems “in retreat” while Charles is “on the attack.”
Judi told Express.co.uk: “Has Camilla been taking a timely lesson from the recent flurry of documentaries about Diana’s interview with Bashir, or might she even be watching The Crown?
“A trait that was stressed in all of these shows when the breakdown of the Wales’s marriage was discussed was Charles’s seething intolerance of being upstaged by his young wife.
“Camilla has never been a spotlight-stealer, with her body language often showing clear signs of wary anxiety during many of her public engagements, but she had been gaining gradual confidence over the years of her marriage to Charles.”
According to Judi, Camilla seemed to have lost some of her newfound confidence in her latest outing.
The analyst said: “This was beginning to be reflected in both her wardrobe choices and her more upbeat behaviour as she appeared by herself more, like Kate, or to move beside her husband on shared gigs to give the impression of an even-status team of two.”
Judi claimed Camilla’s “low-key” outfit reflected her wish to stay out of the spotlight.
The expert said: “Suddenly though her wardrobe choices are looking much more low-key and even frumpy, with less of the flair she had started to show, and her body language suggests a deliberate attempt to ‘step back’ and allow Charles to be the solo star of the show.”

Judi added: “Dressed in school uniform colours like this bottle green and the navy pinafore dress of her previous outing, Camilla sits in a very prim-looking way while watching an act at the 100 Club, with her legs pinned together and her hands clasped on her lap or standing to attention with her arms rigidly at her sides while chatting to some of the performers.”
Judi highlighted how Charles’s outgoing body language contrasted with that of his wife.
Judi said: “In contrast, Charles’s body language and dress style seems to be going through some sort of an epiphany.
“He has often been a rather tetchy-looking royal and a stuffy dresser, but since being singled out by Vogue as a bit of a fashionista his wardrobe has become positively dapper, with some confident flourishes, like the tie and pocket hankie here.”
Judi added: “He adopts a very splayed and active pose alongside the more passive and introvert poses of Camilla, and he appears to be projecting high levels of sustained good-humour, with his wide smile visible even in a face-mask, thanks to his raised brows and his eye-crinkling.
“Despite all the fall-out from The Crown, Charles appears to be on the attack, with heightened signals of happy confidence suggesting resilience and an air of shrugging it all off.
“If anything it appears to have made him look even more determined to stay in the spotlight.
“Camilla, however, seems to have retreated slightly.”
“Her confidence seems to have waned dramatically as she appears to be stepping back into the role of her husband’s shadow again.”
