The guest continued: “All of her attendants were required to go dress shopping with her, then shoe shopping, then accessories shopping.
“Once she was able to find the perfect ensemble for her day, they now were required to go shopping for their dresses and shoes and accessories.
“They were also required to have professional hair and make-up done.”
The guest revealed the amount the bridesmaids had to pay were £2,262, as she charged £238 for shoes and accessories, £317 for dresses and nearly £200 for their hair and make-up.
Then the bride wanted a destination hen do, which saw her party billed for £80 for a limo, £556 for food and the accommodation, as well as airfare for £318.
The wedding guest added: “For her bachelorette party, she planned a week-long event that consisted of renting a luxurious house in Napa Valley, complete with limo rentals to go wine tasting for three days.
“It’s at this point that her long-time best friend pipes up and starts to complain about how much this is costing. (She’s already out $700 just on the outfit).
“Bridezilla tells her point-blank, ‘This is MY DAY and I’m the ONLY one that matters!’”
The post secured more than hundreds of comments when it was shared four days ago, but got mixed response.
One person questioned: “Why do people think that their wedding is a reason to ask people to spend money and do whatever they want? I just don’t get it!”
While another supported the bride, commenting: “I think costs like these are fine, as long as everyone involved is willing and able to pay them. It doesn’t become a problem until people start demanding it.”
