Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a number of changes to the UK lockdown on Friday, July 17, 2020. From August 1 the Government will update its guidance on going to work. The PM also stated remaining leisure centres, such as bowling and skating rinks, will be allowed to reopen from August 1.

When can beauticians reopen?

Beauty salons have been allowed to reopen from Monday, July 13 in the UK.

However all close contact services have not been allowed to go ahead at the current time.

From August 1 the PM announced beauticians will be able to provide close contact services.
