Batches of Turkey Dinosaurs sold in Iceland have been pulled from shelves over fears they contain small pieces of metal.

This makes the nuggets unsafe and shoppers are being advised not to eat them.

Bernard Matthews, the manufacturer, issued the recall on the Food Standards Agency's website.

The affected packs weight 450g, contain nine pieces of nuggets and have a best before eat date of November 30 2019.

They also have the batch codes: L19QGG3, L19QGG4, L19QHG3, L19QHG4.

Bernard Matthews apologised for the inconvenience caused to shoppers and added that no other products had been affected.

Customers who've got a pack at home are being urged to check the use by date which can be found on the front of the packaging.

If it's been affected by the recall, you'll need to return the product to your nearest store in exchange for a full refund.

You don't need to bring along the receipt either so don't worry if you can't find it.

Other recall notices to look out for include Birds Eyes chicken nuggets because they may contain bits of plastic.

Tesco has also pulled Indian ready meals from shelves over fears they could trigger deadly allergies.

Asda shoppers are also being urged to check if they've bought soups from Soupologie as some batches contain the listeria bacteria.
