Angelina Jolie is an actress, entrepreneur, and activist, but it looks like she’s going to add clothing and jewelry designer to her repertoire. According to The Sun, Angelina has filed to trademark the business name Atelier Jolie. A source confirmed to the publication that the Maleficent star is launching a fashion line.
“Angelina has been working on this project for well over a year and she hopes the trademark will be approved so she can move forward in her new venture,” the insider explained.

“The trademark covers everything from custom-made jewellery to couture clothing and tailoring,” they continued. “She is a huge advocate for sustainable fashion and this is something the brand will have a major focus on.”
For now, there’s no word on when Angelina plans to launch the line, but the source insists the plan is in motion, saying, “The plan is still very much in its infancy but the wheels are in motion.”
The actress has previously spoken about her love for sustainable fashion. “I invest in quality pieces and then just wear them to death,” she told Vogue in 2021, explaining why she loves to re-wear pieces on the red carpet.
“Boots, a favourite coat, a favourite purse, I don’t change things often, you know?” she continued. “That’s one of my things. Enjoying your vintage pieces, if you have them, and rediscovering some vintage shops seems like part of the way forward.”

This may be Angelina’s first time branching into the fashion industry, but it wouldn’t be her first time launching a business. The actress previously owned a winery with her long-time partner Brad Pitt. However, she sold her shares following their divorce, which resulted in a years-long legal battles that’s still ongoing.
In fact, Angelina is currently named in a lawsuit launched by Brad in which he accused her of selling her shares to a Russian businessman, Yuri Shefler, in an effort to harm his reputation.
“Jolie consummated the purported sale without Pitt’s knowledge, denying Pitt the consent right she owed him and the right of first refusal her business entity owed his,” court documents state.
“She sold her interest with the knowledge and intention that Shefler and his affiliates would seek to control the business to which Pitt had devoted himself and to undermine Pitt’s investment in Miraval,” it continued.
Brad’s lawsuit claims Angelina “sough to inflict harm” on Brad’s reputation. The exes are continuing to fight over the case.
