A WOMAN has shared a nifty trick that can make scooping ice cream a breeze.
She says your frozen treat will be soft as soon as it comes out of the freezer, so no need for defrosting.
In a TikTok video where she shared random kitchen tips, Steph Gigliotti (@stephgigliotti28) keyed viewers in on how to add ease to their ice cream scooping experience.
"Store your ice cream in a plastic bag in the freezer," she said.
"It will always be soft enough to scoop it out. Make sure to get as much air out of the bag as you can.
"Now you never have to wait for it to soften," she concluded.
Previously unaware of the ice cream hack, some viewers showed their appreciation in the comments section of Steph's clip.
"I didn’t know the ice cream tip. Thanks!" one said.
"Never knew that about the ice cream!! Thanks!" a second mirrored that sentiment.
Other viewers proposed alternative ways to make scooping the dessert less daunting.

"Or buy this super awesome scoop I bought on Amazon and you can scoop it right away. Even if it’s hard as a rock. It’s the best!" one said.
"I put my ice cream in the microwave for 15 seconds," said a second.
Other people were a bit skeptical about the ice cream trick.
"Not sure I am buying that ice cream trick. Everything else I freeze in Ziploc bags is still pretty frozen," one said.
In response, the content creator said: "Ice cream is different than frozen vegetables, try it! Get as much air out of the bag as possible though."
