THERE’S nothing like a tasty home-cooked meal.

But cleaning up the mess is a different story – a chore we often ignore until we’re forced to tackle it.

Luckily, TikTok’s cleaning guru @Carolina.McCauley has a useful trick when it comes to tackling your pile of dirty pots and pans – and it’s really simple.

In her video, which received over 70k views, she taught her followers how to remove the black gunk that sticks to your pans after cooking a dish on high heat.

First, she said, you throw a single dishwasher tablet in the pan.

Next, you add enough hot water so that the entire dish is filled.

After letting that mixture sit for 30 minutes, Carolina then poured it down the kitchen sink.

She finalized the cleaning by taking a thin sponge and lightly rubbing off the left-over pieces, which came off easily thanks to the soap and hot water solution.

The result was a pan that looked as good as new.

Many viewers offered their own, alternative tips to getting the same job done:

“Just boil some white vinegar in the pan and it does the trick too,” one user wrote.

“I've also found it handy to put baking soda and water in the pan, and boil it for a bit,” added another.

Carolina has become a staple on TikTok thanks to her useful cleaning hacks like this one.

In another one of her videos, she explained how to prevent dust from collecting in your home.

Her solution, which she called the “Magic Dust Repellent,” involved a few ingredients:

“Half a teaspoon of olive oil helps to repel dust.”

Next: “One teaspoon of vinegar to kill dust mites.”

“Add 1/2 cup of water,” she continued.

“Two drops of dish soap. Ten drops of lemon essential oil.”

After mixing the ingredients together, she poured the liquid into an empty spray bottle.

Carolina then sprayed the solution onto a microfiber cloth and began wiping down various surfaces in her home: a nightstand, a lamp, and a light bulb.

“Use this mixture once a week,” she advised, “and keep dust away for longer.”
