WITH the British weather hotting up this weekend, it's no surprise our furry friends are looking for creative ways to start cooling down.

But this woman was shocked to find her moggy in the FRIDGE after accidentally trapping him inside after he ran inside to get some cold air.

Tumblr user Christine, known as I Remember There Was A Mist, took to the internet to reveal how her quirky kitty Talia loves to jump inside the fridge every time she opens the door.

Naturally, her greatest fear was shutting in the black and white cat without noticing the adventurous feline was inside – and she admitted that to her horror, that's exactly what happened one hot day.

After absent-mindedly opening the fridge for the snack, Christine shut the door without thinking Talia may have jumped inside.

And noticing she hadn't seen little Tali in a 'few minutes' – panicking she'd gone missing – she thought the fridge would be the perfect place to look.

Hiding behind a jug of water, Christine was delighted to see Talia chilling in the breeze – and the cat casually walked out when the door was fully opened.

She explained to her followers: "Talia loves the fridge. I don't know why but every time we open it, she bolts for it and jumps inside. She crawls into the back and nestles into the smallest corner she can.

"Today I wasn't watching the fridge and opened and closed it. When I looked around the kitchen I realised Tali was no longer in site.

"Immediately, I throw open the fridge door and there she is – hanging out in the back, content as can be."

Explaining further to BoredPanda, she said: "I think she simply jumped in for the same reasons most cats would — to get into a place they’re not supposed to be."

Unlike other cats, Christine explains that four-year-old Talia also loves water and often jumps in the shower to join her owner.

She continued: "She loves to hop in the shower with me and cries for me to turn on the sink while she’s lounging in there. Nothing makes her happier than when someone pets her with wet hands."
