YOUR wedding day is something you'll remember for a lifetime – so you want it to be as special as possible.

But one couple have left the internet stunned after revealing they served McDonald's to their guests rather than the typical three-course meal.

The newly-weds went viral after they brought piles of McDonald's burgers and nuggets instead of splashing out on a lavish feast.

The French couple surprised their wedding guests with a fast food delivery in place of the usual formal meal, with footage showing them announcing the news to the room.

Taking to the microphone, the bride motions to the back of the room, as everyone turns around to see the big reveal.

In walks a delivery driver with bags filled with goodies – and the crowd were seriously impressed letting out a big cheer.

The groom, Thomas Billaudeau, posted the video on TikTok, tagging McDonald’s Beauvais Tille in the caption.

“Thanks for the treat at our wedding,” he wrote.

The McDonald’s restaurant commented underneath: “It was a pleasure to participate in this superb day.”

While it might not be conventional, it seems plenty of people loved the idea as the video posted to the TikTok account @thomasbillaudeau got over two million views.

And while some trolls pointed out it was a pretty cheap way to feed your wedding guests, they thought it was better than splashing out thousands on one meal.

In a comment loosely translated from French by Tyla, one person said: “Congratulations on your union! I'm sick of people who take out 30k loans to please others and then get criticised for it."

"It's simple, effective and at least it's okay, a small marriage, but nothing better. I did the same, except it was a kebab plate lol," penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: "I would rather eat McDonald’s at my wedding than go into debt for 25 years for a wedding.”

"Not wrong,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: "Best simple wedding."
