Supermodel Josephine Skriver and her fiancé Alexander DeLeon have officially tied the knot. On April 3, the adorable couple said their “I dos” at Acre Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Against a tropical backdrop of palm trees, Skriver’s Alberta Ferretti gown shone in the natural sunlight, illuminating the intricate lace fabric cascading from the subtle scoop of the fitted bodice down to the sheer train that pooled around her. Skriver’s pearlescent white dress was held up by a set of string-thin spaghetti straps. The bride glammed up her look with a floor-length tulle veil, jewelry by Logan Hollowell, and a wedding ring designed by Mark Shami with M Jewelers. DeLeon wore a custom David August suit with a white one-button jacket.
Adding an extra layer of meaning to the looks on her special day, Skriver hand-selected her own and the jewelry worn by her bridal party. The Victoria’s Secret model sported a Queen Water Drop Moonstone Necklace With Full Pavé Diamond Hal ($3,050) and a Reverse Water Drop Diamond Tennis Necklace ($72,000). On her hands, Skriver wore a matching French Pavé Diamond Tusk Ring ($2,995), a Diana Diamond Band ($8,750), and a Diana Diamond Bracelet with Heart Center ($24,250). The bridesmaids, clad in sage green dresses from Show Me Your Mumu, also wore constellation necklaces that corresponded with their zodiac signs. “Josephine chose LH Constellation necklaces ($1,750 to $1,875) because she felt they were unique and loved the idea that they connected her best friends through the cosmos,” the jewelry brand said in a press release.
“I DO! 🤍 @bohnes forever and always i do! I pick you! I can’t believe i get to call you my husband now! #married,” Skriver captioned an Instagram post on Thursday. On his own Instagram account, DeLeon added, “WE DID THE DAMN THING. 🤍🖤 @josephineskriver you are the greatest gift of my life.”
Skriver first encountered DeLeon after a friend suggested she listen to one of the singer/songwriter’s albums on a long international flight. “I was tweeting back and forth with a fan about it, and, because Alexander was added every time, he saw everything and tweeted back, ‘thank you for the shoutout’ — and that sort of started us talking,” Skriver said. From there, the pair formed a relationship. During a trip to free dive with orcas in Finland, DeLeon proposed to Skriver on a frozen lake under the northern lights. The engagement was later announced on Nov. 26. 2018 by Skriver, who shared a photo of her wedding ring — a massive emerald-cut stone set on a diamond band.
The pandemic may have delayed the couple’s big day, but the final wedding photos are proof that it was worth the wait. “We couldn’t be happier to spend the rest of our lives together,” she told Vogue. “This is just the beginning, but we’ll remember this night and weekend for the rest of our lives.”
