HOME interior fans are going wild over a new IKEA hack which makes your home look instantly more expensive.
And it’s all to do with one of the curtains on sale in the popular shop – specifically how you hang and accessorise them in your home.
Social media influencer Chris-Ann, who uploads content about home decor, revealed she’d recently purchased several IKEA items to upgrade her bedroom.
In a post titled ‘A custom look using Ikea Curtains’, Chris-Ann shared how she’d bought two single tracks and four sets of their Hilja white curtains.
Once she’d combined the two tracks to create one bigger one, she then hung the sets of curtains up from the top of the ceiling with the vision of allowing them to drape down.
The next thing in her shopping basket was an iron-on hemming strip, which she attached to the bottom of each curtain while they were hung up, so that it elongated them further.

The final result? Chris-Ann, aka TikTok user @cahjahoriedeco, posted a video which unveiled the curtains hanging in the windows of her bedroom, showing the high-end, bespoke look she’d achieved.
But she’s far from the only person to think it’s a great idea, as her TikTok followers were quick to comment that they loved the longer curtains she’d created using her clever hemming strip hack.
The transformation video, which racked up over 22k likes and counting, also attracted lots of attention and comments.
