A BLOKE has been left baffled after his ex, who left him for another man, asked him to step in as stepdad after she was dumped by her new lover.

Taking to Reddit the scorned man revealed that his ex-girlfriend had dumped him four months ago over a “fear of commitment.”

She had then got engaged just a month and a half later to the man that she left him for and became pregnant a month after that.

Understandably, the Redditor was less than impressed when his ex then came crawling back to him when her new beau dumped her two weeks ago.

He shared a screenshot of the grovelling email he’d received where his ex tried to “rope him in as step dad.”

The email read: “I want to tell you something because I don’t want to hide it or surprise you with it later and this takes a lot for me to say.

“I understand if you’re against it or would rather not continue to talk to me.”

She continues: “I know you want to have a baby. Though I am currently pregnant. I am just trying to be the best mom I can be and that means telling you about this now.

“I’m sorry if it’s too soon to tell you or if you didn’t really want to know, just I think about you non stop and have done since we parted ways.”

She later adds: “I wish you were the father with all my heart, and I’d give anything to have had the chance to.”

The woman goes on to say that she understands if he would rather not start something up with a pregnant woman, but that she would like to “bear his child one day.”

Fellow Reddit users were left equally baffled by the audacity of the woman’s email – sharing their outrage in the comments.

One wrote: “Gross. You dodged a bullet dude.”

“She made her bed, now let her sleep in it,” agreed another, while a third commented, “That’s horrible. Stay strong, man. Don’t ever settle to be someone’s second, always be their first.”
