INSTAGRAM sensation Jen Selter may have nearly 12million followers, but she wasn’t exactly given star treatment during an American Airlines flight two weeks ago.

The “belfie” icon, who shot to fame thanks to social-media photos showing off her ample posterior, was kicked off a New York-bound plane from Miami.

“It was a nightmare,” said Selter, 24.

According to the Roslyn, LI, native, when she got out of her seat to stretch and put her jacket in the overhead compartment during a two-hour ground delay at the Miami airport, a flight attendant approached her.

“I sat down when he asked,” said Selter, who added that the attendant inquired if she wanted to get kicked off the plane.

“I said, ‘Yeah,’ clearly being sarcastic,” she explained.

The flight attendant spoke to the pilot and, before Selter knew it, five police officers showed up to escort her off the plane.

“I’m not a confrontational person. I did not start the whole argument,” she insisted. “It’s crazy that an innocent person can be treated this way.”

The incident, which Selter filmed, went viral, as do most things with the fitness model, who hit it big four years ago.

Take her well-documented online flirtation with Knicks star player Kristaps Porzingis, which has resulted in Selter planting herself front and centre at his games this season.

She might have been Porzingis’ good-luck charm.

When Selter missed Tuesday night’s game, the basketball player injured himself, tearing his ACL.

“I feel really bad for the situation,” said Selter, who refused to divulge whether she and the sports star have actually met in person.

“I’m a big Knicks fan,” she offered.

Despite the public’s interest in her romantic prospects, Selter says she is single and enjoying life, which includes working out on her custom £9,400 ($13,000) StairMaster wrapped in a faux-Louis Vuitton print with “JS” instead of “LV.”

She’s also launching a workout line and building what she claims is a £3.6million-a-year ($5million) business — Selter says she has a yearly contract with the workout app Fitplan and is the creative director of an athleisure jewellery line called ION Collection and the global spokeswoman for video platform Peeks.

Selter’s manager says they eschew one-off Instagram endorsements for larger deals.

In addition to her eponymous Instagram account, Selter manages nine other handles, including @couplegoals, which features random couples smooching and canoodling and boasts 4.5million followers, as well as fitness-related ones @squatspo (2.7million), @motivationforfitness (1.4million) and @gymlooks (781,000), which is the name of her upcoming clothing line.

She also has @jenlselter (520,000), @idreamaboutfood (322,000), @idreamaboutdessert (52,000), @thatbikini (578,000) and one for her dog, @grambrodyselter (28,7000).

She and her 26-year-old sister, Stephanie, who is also her assistant and business partner, do all the posting.

Selter said she might even start her own competitor to Instagram one day.

“I would definitely consider making my own app, because with this new algorithm on Instagram, it’s horrible. It’s showing you people who posted five days ago first and people you don’t follow. It’s not fun!”

Just don’t expect her to star in a reality show any time soon.

“Not my thing. This all just happened to me,” said Selter of her fame. “I love inspiring and motivating people, but I’m definitely not a spotlight kind of girl.”

Despite her penchant for seductive poses, she insists that she goes out “undercover” in NYC, dressing down in baggy sweats, a hat and a “crazy long” sweatshirt to hide her bum.

She’s come a long way from her post-high-school days of working at a plastic surgeon’s office, and at a gym in the Roosevelt Field Mall.

As a skinny teenager, she started working out; when her butt ballooned, she started taking photos.

Selter began posting her pics on Instagram in March 2012 and, when she hit 500,000 followers, quit her gig at the gym to focus full time on social-media stardom.

Despite her success, Selter shares a two-bedroom, 1,600-square-foot rental apartment in Midtown East with her sister, Stephanie (their mum, Jill Weinstein, and grandmother, Lois Jacobs, live in the same building).

Stephanie is responsible for taking all of Selter’s photos and running Selter’s daily schedule.

“I’m all about saving. I don’t spend,” Selter said. “I want to save because who knows where my future will be.”

If she plays her cards right, it might be with Rihanna.

Selter says she met the singer about two years ago at a Drake concert.

“We were in the pit together and she turned to me and said, ‘Oh, I follow you! You need to train me!’” said Selter.

“I was having a fan moment and was so nervous I could barely respond. I was just like, ‘Oh, my God.’”

Right now, Selter is just focused on getting her best body, Instagram shots be damned.

LUNCH-BOXING

Experts say there’s something wrong with this lunchbox – can you spot what?

“I’m going through this thing right now where I’m going to work out for myself, and who cares if I lose my butt for a period, or lose my abs. If you feel good mentally, that’s what’s important,” said Selter, who griped that her thighs get too large when her butt gets bigger.

“With social media, your butt will never be perfect because you can’t please everyone. I like a big butt. Not too big. Moderation.”
