If there's anyone we should all be looking to for guidance in 2020, it's none other than Mariah Carey.
The vocalist has long refused to acknowledge time, and since we've all collectively agreed that this year is canceled, I've decided that I'd like to officially adopt Carey's rule.
But, if you've been paying attention to the superstar's Instagram grid over the last few months, it does seem like she's been living in the '90s since quarantine started — at least as far as her hair goes.
Carey's gorgeous natural curls have been on full display as of late, and it's giving us flashbacks to the cover art for her 1990 self-titled debut album.
The five-time Grammy winner first started sharing at-home curly posts back in March, from clips of washing her hands alongside her two kids, to thanking essential workers.
Most recently, the star posted a candid pic, showing love to her curls in the caption, which appeared to be lightly jeujed by a wand curler.
"Good humidity for a curlyRiah weekend," the "Fantasy" singer wrote.
Celebrities, including Naomi Campbell and Lee Daniels, left heart emojis in the comments, while JoJo called the music veteran a "goddess."

Aside from wearing her natural hair more often, Carey has also been taking us back to the '90s with #MC30, a weekly commemoration of her music catalog to celebrate 30 years of being in the business. And fans are loving it.
But who can blame them? In a year like 2020, this type of sweet nostalgia has never been so vital.
