GETTING a tattoo and getting engaged have one thing in common – they're both very big commitments.

One man decided to combine both things and propose to his girlfriend through his new inking, but trolls are all saying the same thing about it.

After a picture of the questionable tattoo was shared in a popular Facebook group people were mortified.

The inking appears to take up most of the bloke's upper arm and reads: "Nicole will you marry me?"

There are then two large boxes below the all important where his girlfriend can tick 'yes' or 'no'.

But many are saying the worst part of the design is the section underneath that, which says: "Valid from 2024 – 4ever (with Dad's approval)"

"The 4ever really ties it all together," one person commented on the post.

A second said: "I know it’s not but PLEASE be a temporary tattoo…

"Omg, I was wanting to hope that was a semi permanent tattoo. But looking at that redness n swelling, looks like a permanent one," a third agreed.

And another said: "OMG Just when I thought it couldn't get worse he adds in "dads approval" like she doesn't have a brain for herself.

Someone else said: "Nooooooo!! That would be such a turn off for me!"

"Well we already know he makes GREAT decisions. Definitely husband material," another wrote sarcastically.

Meanwhile, others were more concerned about the clashing fonts in the design.

"Never use this many fonts in one design. If you’re going to get a gigantic lettering design (which you shouldn’t, especially this) at least make it look cool," one wrote.

"I hate all of it but the multiple fonts is straight up triggering," another said.
