Eurovision: Kate Middleton plays piano in show teaser
The Prince and Princess of Wales released a video of Kate playing piano as part of a special performance at the Eurovision Song Contest, and she looked stunning in a blue dress. The Palace shared the video on social media, which was filmed earlier this month in Windsor Castle, and said: “A #Eurovision surprise. A pleasure to join Kalush Orchestra in a special performance of last year’s winning @eurovision entry. Enjoy the show, Liverpool.”
Princess Kate wore a blue one-shouldered gown in the same shade as the Ukranian flag, clearly honouring the country.
The gown was the Marlowe One-Shoulder Gown from Jenny Packham which currently retails for £2,940.
The crystal-embellished draped chiffon gown is “so elegant and feminine,” the designer’s website explained.
“It’s made from ‘Sapphire’ chiffon that’s gently gathered and pleated, so it will move beautifully as you work the room.”
The designer recommended: “Match your jewellery to the crystal-embellished belt,” and the Princess of Wales did so by wearing the Queen Mother Sapphire and Diamond Fringe Earrings.
Royal fans loved Kate’s surprise performance as well as her stunning blue dress with a touching nod to Ukraine and thousands took to the comments section to praise her look.
On Instagram, @jesspgh said: “So beautiful! What a delightful surprise!” and @emilymillerdc commented: “The dress is maybe the best ever.”
“One of her best looks ever! Love everything about it. The whole scene, her at a piano in a dreamy dress, it’s like something out of a fairytale,” @sonyakayani added.
Royal fan @helsyd commented on Instagram: “The skirt of the dress looks amazing when she is seated at the piano.”
Another one, @ciaramquill, opined that she “looked gorgeous and played beautifully” and @suedaisy123 simply said: “Stunning dress!”
