AN age-defying woman has revealed that she maintains her youthful glow using a DIY face mask.

Tams (@tamsskyn) explained that her mom showed her how to combine a selection of ingredients that most people have in their kitchen to make a face mask that transforms the appearance of skin.

The 42-year-old has garnered over 204,00 followers on TikTok, where she shares advice for reducing the signs of aging and gives her verdict on trendy beauty products.

She took to the social media platform to reveal how her Korean mom makes an egg face mask that banishes fine lines and dark spots.

She said: “This is a face mask that my mom swears by.

"It involves an egg and it’s supposed to help brighten and tighten your skin.

“You’re going to need some rice flour or leftover rice that you’ve already blended up.

“I have about a tablespoon in here and baking soda you want more than half a teaspoon.

“Add about a tablespoon or so of honey.”

She combined the ingredients in a large bowl before cracking an egg in a separate bowl.

Tams continued: “You’re gonna separate the yolk from the white, this is the important part.

“You have the egg white and the egg yolk.

“If you have dry skin you’re gonna use the egg yolk, if you have oily skin you’re gonna use the egg white.

“I have drier skin so I’m going to put my egg yolk in here and do about one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar.

“It’s fizzing. We’re just gonna mix it up.

“My mom swears by this face mask and she’s been doing it for years.

"She said it helps brighten your skin, tightens it, and also helps lighten the dark spots that she has on her face.

“So baking soda is great for exfoliation and if you have acne or any dark spots, apple cider vinegar is great for balancing PH levels in your skin.”

The beauty guru then used a wooden spatula to spread the mixture all over her face as she continued to speak.

She said: “You’re gonna want to let that sit for about 15 minutes and then rinse it off.

“And then go in with your skincare routine.”

Having rinsed the mask off, she added: “My skin feels really moist, hydrated, tight, and pretty clean.

“So do this mask about two times a week.”

Tams captioned the post with hashtags including #Koreanskincare, #affordableskincare, and #skincaretips.

The video went viral with over 528,000 views, 24,000 likes, and commenters gushing about her beautiful skin.

She revealed that social media trolls had previously said that she was “too old to be a skinfluencer” but she doesn’t care.

One person commented: “I feel like older people with nice skin are the people we should be taking advice from.”

Another wrote: “I see this so often and I’m so confused! Shouldn’t we be taking advice from older people who have amazing skin?”

A third said: “You’re exactly what I want as a skinfluencer.
