A FLAT chested woman has said many shops are using the wrong method to measure bust sizes, and it might be the reason why your bra does fit properly.
Claiming that the method had her wrongly sized as an A cup when she is really a C cup, the fashion fan argues stores are taking advantage.
The fashion fan came across the problem when researching to launch her own small busted clothes line.
She said: “In my process of designing a bra for small chests I realised a lot of places are using the plus four method which isn’t accurate.”
Leah explained her theory in a TikTok video online.

She said: “So your cup size will be the difference between your under bust measurement and your bust measurement.”
“However lots of places are still using the plus four method which means they add 4 inches to your under bus which brings you to the wrong cup size.”
Leah explained this method could end up putting two women with different bust sizes in the same cup size.

She said: “So take Shelly for example. She is a 28 inch under bust and 29 across her bust she will be put in a 32 AA.”
She continued: “Sarah who's 28 inches across her under bust but 30 across her bust will also be put in a 32AA.”
“In reality Shelly is a 28A and Sarah is a 28B. That's a whole cup difference in the same bra size which is the wrong bra size to begin with.”
Leah explains brands do this to make siding easy for themselves and not the consumer.
She said: “This is just literally so brands can do less sizing and filter you down all into similar sizes.”
Leah's video gained over 159,000 views.
