A PET expert has revealed four little-known signs that may indicate your dog may be ill.

Among them is how your dog walks. They have urged owners to be on the lookout if they see similar behavioral changes in their lovable mutts.

Pet Supplies (@puppyclass) shared their list on their TikTok.

Maintaining good nail care in your family pet is not just for aesthetics they said.

It is crucial to your dog's long-term health care too.

In their post, they said, “Five signs your dog’s nails are silently hurting them."

Number one was a tendency to "lick their paws often."

This can indicate the presence of environmental allergies, also called atopic dermatitis.

The second concern to be aware of was when “their nails tear into their skin."

This can be a sign that the nails have overgrown. When this happens, the nails can also split down to the quick.
