A WOMAN has opened up about how she received the biggest shock of her life when she took herself to A&E with suspected appendicitis.
However, when the doctors were examining her, they discovered that that wasn’t the issue at all.
Instead, Kayla Simpson's life totally changed when was told that she was pregnant – and had already gone into labour.
Kayla, who shared her jaw-dropping story via her TikTok account @kaylanicolesimpson, posted a video explaining exactly what happened.
She said that after experiencing pain she “went to the ER for what I thought was an appendix problem.”
But she quickly discovered that it wasn’t her appendix that was causing the pain and discomfort.

Kayla continued: “I was wrong.
“During an ultrasound to check for any cysts, I started screaming VERY loudly.
“I was 10cm dilated and about to give birth.”
After the hospital staff broke the news, everything else happened in a whirlwind and 15 minutes later, she was holding her baby daughter.

Kayla went on to say: “Immediately I was rushed upstairs to labour and delivery.
“15 minutes and 3 pushes later…”
Kayla then introduced her 218.7k followers to her adorable little girl Madi, as she shared the final twist in the story.
The new mum wrote: “This is Madi! She’s 16 months old.”
Kayla was pleased to report that her little girl was born “completely healthy and had no health problems.”
As the mother and daughter duo danced along to a Meghan Trainor track, she added that – despite the initial shock – she couldn’t be happier.
She wrote: “We are doing great. And I love being her mummy.
“And before EVERYONE asks… yes mum and dad are both in her life and love her very much.”
Once she shared her story, Kayla was inundated with comments – as others shared their similar surprise scenarios.
