A COUPLE claim to have found the best garden centre in the UK – and it's just 40 minutes away from Glasgow.

Jilly Cross and her fiance Andy Halliday, who played for Rangers before signing for rivals Hearts, headed along to Silverbirch over the weekend.

Silverbirch Garden Centre was established in 1976 and is situated in Scotland’s picturesque Clyde Valley at Crossford, Lanarkshire.

In a recent TikTok video (@jillyisabella), Jilly said: "Hello troops. Come to Silverbirch Garden Centre with us, ie the best garden centre that's ever existed in the entire world. Oh woo!

"I’m literally going to see the best Christmas decorations in the world."

The influencer and her footballer beau made the 25-mile journey along the M74 to the garden centre with Jilly insisting: "The drive is super gorgeous because the trees are stunning."

She added: "We went into the cafe first and had some brunch and coffee.

"It was absolutely gorgeous. I love it in here so much.

"You would actually come for this cafe alone. The food’s that good.

"It's one of those cafes that say if you went at like 12 o'clock, you still wanted breakfast, you could. But see if you also wanted a fish supper, you also could.

"And both of them would be delicious."

Jilly then showed off the garden centre's epic Christmas decorations – with three separate themed rooms.

"This is the first room and it's like winter wonderland themed", she said.

"I was really super over stimulated at this point. The trees spin and that's a goal that I want in my life."

Then it was into the red room which Jilly gushed is her "absolute favourite".

She said: "Even though my decorations aren't red in the house, I just think red for traditional Christmas is the best.

"It makes me actually really want to change all my Christmas decorations.

"But anyway, super gorgeous ornaments. Love all these berries."

At this point, Jilly revealed the couple had so many things in their hands that they had to hunt down a trolley.

"And then into like the golden like, luxe room", she revealed.

"This video doesn't show how large this tree was. It was amazing."

She added: "And then that was the end. Okay. Bye. Can't wait to go back."

Jilly's clip has racked up almost 100,000 views with Christmas fans desperate to visit the garden centre.

One said: "I would literally fly to Scotland just to go here."

A second wrote: "Right that’s it! I’m taking travel sickness tabs and going! Love it all."

A third added: "This is beautiful omg I need to go."

Meanwhile a fourth confessed: "This is my favourite place on earth…see if I ever go missing I’m under the spinny tree."

Bosses at Silverbirch said: "As Scotland’s most design-led garden centre, Silverbirch takes pride in interior design and their attention to detail.

"No one does Christmas quite like Silverbirch.
