A FASHION fan was shocked after she found a surprising item in her latest online order from PrettyLittleThing.

Callie Doyle, 25, bought what she thought was a brand new racer bomber jacket from the online fashion brand.

But when the energy company worker from Larbert, Falkirk, took the piece of clothing out of the bag she found a surprise item hanging out of one of the pockets.

She found car keys to someone else's Audi inside the jacket.

Callie's first thought was that someone was wearing the jacket but returned it to the company with their keys left in the pocket.

She believes that PLT failed to check over the returned jacket before sending it out to another paying customer.

She said: "When I opened the package, I noticed something hanging out the pocket which I originally thought was a key ring or something attached to the jacket.

"I pulled it out and it was someone’s car keys.

"I literally thought 'oh my god, someone’s had this jacket on' and returned it.

"PLT haven’t even bothered to open it up and check to see if there was any damage to the jacket or see if it was clean to then send to someone who's paying for it.

"I know they clearly don't check returns properly because I’m not the first person this has happened to, not specifically with a car key, but I’ve seen loads of other things."

Callie is still debating whether she wants to keep the jacket after it has been worn by someone else.

She says that it'll need a clean before she wears it – but said if the car keys were not in the pocket then she wouldn't have known that it was worn previously.

After raising the issue with the company, PLT gave Callie a 30 percent discount on her next purchase from the website.

She added: "I have no idea what to do with the jacket, it’s still in the packaging at the moment.

"If I do keep it, I’ll clearly need to wash it since someone has worn it.

"The worst thing is, if the car key wasn’t in there, I would’ve been none the wiser."

Callie is now desperately trying to return the car keys to the original owner.

She said: "I don't know what to do with the keys.

"I’ve posted on social media to see if it reaches the person who previously had the jacket on to give them their keys back because I know how expensive they are."

After being asked about how she felt PLT handled the situation, Callie added: "Same as usual when they get something wrong, they just try to give you a discount and that’s it.
