THERE'S absolutely nothing worse than taking down our Christmas trees at the start of the new year – after all, it means the festive season is officially over and it's time to head back to reality.

That said, one woman loves her Christmas trees so much that she decided to keep hers up for the WHOLE of last year – and redecorated it for every holiday.

Nadia Colucci – who works as an estate agent – posted pictures of all seven "Christmas" trees she had on display last year on her website North Compass Realty.

Describing why she decided to keep her festive decorations through 2019, Nadia wrote: "There is something about seeing a big, dazzling, lit up pine tree with an abundance of beautiful decorations that fills my heart and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside."

The Christmas-obsessed woman decided to redecorate her tree for every passing holiday to make her new house feel more homely – and said "each festive tree brought laughter, creativity, cheer and lots of memorable conversation starters."

And considering how Instagram stars are already showing off their Valentine's Day-inspired trees, we're starting to think this is maybe a trend we can get behind… maybe.

Kicking off with her Valentine's Day, Nadia redecorated her tree again for St Patrick's Day and then again for St Patrick's Day the following month.

And while she couldn't justify putting presents under the tree for every holiday, Nadia bought a box of Lucky Charms for the Irish holiday before replacing them with chocolate eggs for Easter.

The estate agent went all out for the 4th July celebrations last summer and topped her three with two American flags and decorated it with a "land of the free" sign.

Autumn was a busy time for Nadia too and required a Halloween tree for October and a separate Thanksgiving design the following month.

Naturally, Nadia had to end her year on a high and opted for a white-and-gold themed Christmas tree (this one for actual Christmas) which she covered in feathers and glittery leaves.

Following the end of the experiment, Nadia joked on Instagram that she'd need a "good therapist" after finally taking her tree down.

She wrote: "Last year (2018) was my first official Christmas in my new house. When January rolled around, I went to take my beautiful Christmas tree down and I was immediately sad. My house felt way too empty!

Serious Question: Anyone know a good therapist? I’m gonna need one after I take this tree down… ? #therapy #whichisbetter ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I don’t know about you guys, but Christmas trees are one of my favorite parts of the holiday season! I have always loved decorating my Christmas tree and of course shopping for all of the special ornaments. There is something about seeing a big, dazzling, lit up pine tree with an abundance of beautiful decorations that fills my heart and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. (Cheesy but true!) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Last year (2018) was my first official Christmas in my new house. When January rolled around, I went to take my beautiful Christmas tree down and I was immediately sad. My house felt way too empty! I couldn’t imagine that corner without my tree and I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to put in its place yet as I was still decorating my new house.  It was a little depressing and I thought to myself, “Screw it, why can’t I just leave it up? Maybe I’ll just decorate it for every holiday throughout the year!” (Luckily, I have a fake tree) So I did it! And it turned out to be such a fun and creative outlet for me. It allowed me to display my expressive side in a way I don’t normally get to share. Each festive tree brought laughter, creativity, cheer and lots of memorable conversation starters. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Not only has 2019 been a TREE-mendous year in business, health, and all of the other important things in life, but I have had a TREE-mendous time getting to share my imagination with you all. I have loved all of the feedback and it always made it even more fun to share the next tree. If you missed some throughout the year check them out, it may inspire you too! Scroll through to see them all! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And P.S. – I’ve decided to make that area a bar (something that will also bring me lots of joy) and will still allow room for my tree in December 2020! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Which one was your fave? ?

Reflecting on her year of Christmas trees, Nadia says it "turned into a fun and creative outlet" but that she's decided to put a home bar in the corner of her living room instead.

Signing off the post, Nadia added: "I’ve decided to make that area a bar (something that will also bring me lots of joy) and will still allow room for my tree in December 2020!"

For more bonkers trends, beauty fans got in the Christmas spirit last year by decorating their hair like Christmas trees.

And bums, boobs and barely there – the Naked Dress trend has taken over the red carpet.

Plus the past 10 years of Instagram has seen the "perfect" body go from skinny to "Slim Thick".
