IT'S the final day of Cheltenham festival – and although all eyes were on the nail-biting races, there's no denying it's all about the fashion too.

For Gold Cup Day, stylish guests have paid tribute to the festival's heritage by dressing in chic shades of tartan.

From traditional Scottish plaids to Chanel-inspired suits, guests were encouraged to incorporate the timeless print into their outfits for the final day.

Sipping from champagne as they watched the races, two style savvy guests doubled up on the tartan and also wore matching black fedoras and leather bags.

And although St Patrick's Day at Cheltenham has been and gone, another fashionable guest stunned in an emerald velvet headband which she paired with a green-and-red tartan jacket and matching green trousers.

Meanwhile, other guests chose to add a pop of tartan into their outfits with chic peacoats, blazers and mini skirts.

And of course, this wouldn't be Cheltenham without some show-stopping hats too.

Although the majority of guests donned fedoras for the occasion, others pushed the boat out with some feathered designs.

Matching her hat with her shade of tartan, one guest opted for a cream circular hat complete with red-and-white feathers.

Meanwhile, another went down the monochrome route with an eye-catching that stood out (literally) among the sea of fedoras.

Earlier this week, racegoers braved the chill with bare shoulders and daring headgear as they upped the style stakes for Ladies' Day.
