THE Duchess of Cornwall today revealed she was "honoured" by Her Majesty's wish for her to become Queen Camilla.
The royal, 74, beamed as she replied to reporters while on a visit to Nourish Hub, a community space dedicated to healthy cooking in West London.
When asked how she felt by the monarch's announcement that she would one day be Queen, Camilla said she was "very, very honoured".
The dedicated duchess is continuing royal duties while husband Charles isolates after testing positive for Covid for the second time, as is permitted under the current rules.
Today was the second time Camilla has been out on official engagements since Her Majesty expressed her "sincere wish" that her daughter-in-law be Queen Consort when Charles takes the throne.
The Queen, who is this year celebrating her Platinum Jubilee, said in an address marking her Accession Day: "I remain eternally grateful for, and humbled by, the loyalty and affection that you continue to give me.
"And when, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes King, I know you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support that you have given me.
"And it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service."

It ended years of controversy over her future title after she took the lesser title Princess Consort when she married the Prince of Wales 17 years ago.
At the time, royal officials believed there was too much public animosity towards Camilla — married to Andrew Parker Bowles from 1973 to 1995 — following the death of Diana.
However, the Firm is understood to have had a change of heart after Camilla's years of dedicated service.
