BRIDES-TO-BE are eyeing up £2 veils from Boohoo for their big day as the cost-of-living crisis continues to pinch purses.

The fast fashion giant, which collaborates with the likes of Kourtney Kardashian, has slashed its bridal veils by over 80%.

The Dobby Mesh design has been reduced to £2 from £12, as has the Polka Dot and Star Celestial veils.

Boohoo’s Oversized Bow Bridal Veil and Daisy Trim design have been cut to £4 from £12.

All of the veils are short and flow just below the shoulders, meaning you won’t be channelling a Sofia Richie-esque veil at the bargain price.

But budgeting brides have revealed they’re happy to lose the length if they’re spending just £2.

“Whether you’re having a low-key celebration or going all out, this piece from Boohoo’s bridal shop will guarantee you can say ‘I do’ in style.”

All of the veils come with a grippy clip, meaning you can slot them into any hairstyle – from buns and beehives to wavy tresses.

Weddings have evolved so much over the years, something now further accelerating due to the cost-of-living crisis.

While some brides want to splash the cash on the traditional wedding dress and veil shopping experience, others are choosing to cut back costs.

Many have taken to social media in recent months to share how their complete bridal ensemble was purchased on the high-street, with Shein and ASOS asserting themselves as the latest big players in the wedding dress industry.

A recent study of 1,000 people found that the “perfect component” to a wedding day is a “relaxed atmosphere”.

Guests are more focused on fun-factor than glamour, data by OnePoll found.
