HODA Kotb and Savannah Guthrie are both "enormously strong" women whose pairing can prove "explosive," says a compatibility expert.
The Today show co-hosts have seemed to clash at times, and the expert says it may be because "attention-loving" Hoda can be "too much" for "unassuming" Savannah.
Today show fans have picked up on some potentially tense moments between the two women, including awkward live moments and "shady" behavior.
A source close to production told The U.S. Sun last year that despite their sunny dispositions towards each other on-screen, behind the scenes they secretly "can't stand each other."
And according to Cosmic Fusion — which combines a person's Western zodiac sign, Chinese element, and Chinese animal — it's likely because they're equally ambitious but opposing personalities.
Their combination "can be pretty explosive as you’re looking at two enormously strong, however extremely different, characters," the app's founder, Michelle Bell, told The U.S. Sun.
Hoda, 58, is a Leo Wood Dragon in the app, which is available on Apple and Android, while Savannah, 51, is a Capricorn Metal Pig.
"Leo Wood Dragons are magnetic charmers who were born to be in the spotlight," says Bell of Hoda's profile.
"Leos tend to shine the brightest and attract people with their warmth, the Wood element is social and captivating, and the Dragon is a born leader with unmatched confidence.
"Unsurprisingly, that creates a character who is a natural-born performer. They are very much drawn to the limelight, a classic Leo and Dragon trait that is intensified with this combo.

"They're phenomenally strong, fantastically reckless, and just want to sing, dance, perform, and entertain the crowd. They are absolutely dynamite.
Hoda's combo makes her "great fun" and "incredibly sociable" and has her "drawn to every decadence," wanting "to have the best of everything."
Add talent to that and she becomes a "world-beater" who shouldn't be underestimated.
Meanwhile, Capricorn Metal Pigs like Savannah are also "pretty talented."
"They have the strength, drive, and ambition of the Capricorn/Metal side of their personality and the compassion and down-to-earth characteristics of the Pig," Bell explains.
"They are single-minded in many respects and have a seriously creative side aligned with a very grounded, common-sense business brain.
"These characters really are overburdened with a catalog of wonderful traits and they're also ridiculously organized."
The combo also makes Savannah modest, says Bell: "This isn't an all-singing, all-dancing ego-fest, they just know what they want and knuckle down.
"Their charm tends to reveal itself when they relax. They can be quite serious where work is concerned so the social side is something of a release for them."
But put Savannah and Hoda together, and Cosmic Fusion's algorithm shows just 48 percent compatibility.
Because Savannah is "unassuming" and "conscientious" but also "goal-oriented" and Hoda is "ambitious" but also "reckless, outgoing, and more obvious in their quest for success," issues can arise.
According to Bell, Hoda "might be too much" for Savannah's "understated, uber-industrious, and diligent nature."
Last year, a source told The U.S. Sun that Hoda and Savannah's "feud" stems from several issues.
"Savannah is the boss. After Matt Lauer was ousted, Savannah grabbed power, and she really wanted Willy Geist in Hoda's role, but his ratings were just not up to par for the network," they said.
"Hoda out-maneuvered Savannah and got the spot."
Beyond that, the source added that Savannah "thinks of herself as a real news person," while Hoda is seen as "the lightweight that drank wine with Kathy Lee Gifford."
