Lady Amelia Spencer, the niece of Diana, Princess of Wales, got married in South Africa surrounded by beautiful mountains on March 21, 2023. The wedding took place at Quoin Rock Manor House on a mountaintop in the Western Cape wine region of South Africa.
Amelia, who was stunning in a custom bridal dress by Atelier Versace, was the only thing that could compare to the breathtaking panoramic views.
Her gown, which took two and a half months to make, had a two-and-a-half-meter train, Swarovski crystals, a hand-embroidered neckline, structured shoulders, and exquisite flower designs flowing throughout. It was made of handcrafted silk rebrodé lace.
It was worn with Jimmy Choo shoes and a beautiful five-meter-long veil composed of fine silk tulle.
The younger sister of Lady Kitty Spencer told Hello Magazine: “It’s honestly the most beautiful dress I’ve ever seen.
“It’s been the happiest experience working with Versace. Every single member of their team were like angels.”
Amelia’s late aunt Diana, a personal friend of Gianni Versace and a wearer of his designs, would have likely appreciated Amelia’s choice of designer for her bridal gown.
The 30-year-old added: “I think she would be very proud to see me on my wedding day.
“I know the Versace family also absolutely love Diana, so there’s a very special connection that we have.”

As maid of honour, her twin sister Lady Eliza appeared in a custom Versace pale pink silk satin slip dress.
Lady Kitty, 32, the bridesmaid and older sister of Amelia, looked stunning in Dolce & Gabbana.
Also in attendance at the wedding were her younger brother Samuel Aitken, 19, and her mother Victoria.
Lady Amelia Spencer did not wear a tiara at her wedding, which is normally the case for royal and aristocratic women.
The new Mrs Mallet could have worn the Spencer tiara as this was the diadem worn by Princess Diana at her 1981 wedding to then-Prince Charles.
Cynthia Grafton-Holt, the founder and bespoke wedding dress designer at Cynthia Grafton-Holt Couture, previously predicted what dress Amelia could wear at her wedding.
She told Express.co.uk: “Royal wedding dresses follow certain protocols such as modesty, hence high necklines and long sleeves.
“Materials tend to be traditional pure silks such as Duchess, Taffeta, boucle, brocades and lace that are historically manufactured within the UK. It is usual too to feature a gown by a British designer – although we will need to wait and see on this one.”
The expert added: “One thing of course will be sure, Lady Amelia’s gown will be sculpted to show off her tiny frame with much attention focused on the gorgeous detailing within the bridal gown itself.
“I would love her gown to be in keeping with traditional classic styles, yet modern and romantic in the choice of materials, combining multiple layers of organza with a 3D organic lace design.
“I think Lady Amelia will opt for a classic high neckline, long sleeves and a sumptuous train with a hand-embroidered and detailed veil.
“The cuffs I have suggested should be soft and floaty in keeping with the romance and soft style of the design.”
