Wiley isn’t quite done with trolling Ed Sheeran, as the rapper decided to stroll around London wearing a mask of the singer’s face.
Last month, the Heatwave rapper sparked a row with the popstar when he criticised Ed, 28, for releasing a grime song, the chart-topping Take Me Back To London, with Stormzy.
Ed responded with an unexpected letter, explaining that he has no hard feelings towards Wiley, 40, and it seemed as though the tensions had simmered.
But today, Wiley’s kicked their row back into high-gear with his latest stunt to troll the popstar.
On Wednesday, the godfather of grime shared an Instagram video in which he is seen wearing an Ed Sheeran mask while basking in the sunshine in Holborn.
‘Wagwan, what you saying?’ is all Wiley says in the video as he walks past other pedestrians, most of whom seemed completely oblivious to it all – aside from one woman who was clearly amused.
Earlier in the week, Wiley suggested that he had an issue with Stormzy who defended Ed in the midst of the row.
Stormzy, 26, later released the track Wiley Flow in homage to the grime legend and both expressed their admiration of each other in friendly social media posts.
But Wiley seems to have changed his tune as he said cryptically: ‘I just want to say homage is not always homage. Sometimes people pretend they’re paying homage.
‘Now I like you Stormz, I do but one day we’re going to have to tell each other the truth,’ he added before launching into hysterical laughter.
Taking aim at another of his rivals, Wiley added: ‘Oi Skepta, where are you bruv? Why you so quiet, bruv? What you doing, bruv?’
Ed shocked us all when he responded to Wiley in a letter which he shared on Instagram.
The musician wrote: ‘Dear Wiley, Just wanna clear a few things up.
‘I never said no to doing a song for you after we made ‘You’ for no.5. You wanted to release ‘if I could’ the same week as my debut single on a major label and I merely asked if you could move to a week before or a week after, which you did, the song came out, and I’m still very proud of it [sic].’
He continued: ‘You know I have a deep love and respect for the scene, and for you. I look forward to godfather 2, excited to hear it.
’ He concluded: ‘This is the last [I’ll] say on this.’
