Sarah Ferguson has given an explosive tell-all interview to Vogue, handing out her views on everything from Princess Diana and Meghan Markle to the claims made about her ex-husband Prince Andrew's former friend Jeffrey Epstein.

Members of the royal family aren't really known for sitting down for exclusive chats with magazines, and this one from the Duchess of York has already got people talking.

The mum of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie gave an eye-opening chat about her life inside the UK's most exclusive social circle.

Here are the wildest revelations to come out of her rare interview…

She used to be in Meghan Markle's shoes

Sarah, or Fergie as she's affectionately known, was basically Meghan Markle before Meghan Markle.

When she married Prince Andrew in 1986, her life was put under a microscope and she says she knows what Meghan is going through.

She told the mag: "It must be hard for Meghan, and I can relate to her. I believe she is modern and fabulous. She was famous before. She is great. Why can’t Meghan be great? Why can’t she be celebrated?

"Any advice for her? I tend not to give advice because it is taken out of context, but I have been in Meghan’s shoes, and I still am. There’s always a twist of negativity and it just gets so sad and tiring; it’s hard and mean. I abhor bullying and I feel desperately sorry for the pain they must be going through because I’ve been through it."

She changed the face of the Royal Family alongside Diana

The Duchess says that alongside Princess Diana, she brought "modern etiquette and fun" to the royal family.

She says they had the best time together and that she love the Princess of Wales with all her heart.

Her daughters are scrutinised for not being 'perfect'

Sarah feels that her daughters Beatrice and Eugenie will always be put under constant scrutiny no matter what they do.

She said that they'll always be "front page news" unless they're "perfect", and that that's too "hard".

Sarah also says her family is more down to earth than the other royals because she's a good mother.

She's sad that her 'wonderful' husband has been going through such 'enormous pain'

Prince Andrew has been the subject of much discussion lately, thanks to his friendship with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Earlier today, it was reported that the Queen's son had lost his office at Buckingham Palace after his disastrous BBC Newsnight interview over his friendship with paedophile Epstein and claims, which he denies, that he had sex with a 17-year-old sex trafficking victim.

Sarah feels awful for her ex-husband and says that the last six month has also been hard on her and her daughters.

She said: "To see such a wonderful man go through such enormous pain. He is the best man I know. It’s just incredible what he has done for Britain, and it’s all nonsense, so I talk about familyhood, and I’m very strong about it. The mental health of men is important and I think it is vital to articulate that more."
