Desperate Scousewives was once Liverpool's version of reality shows The Only Way Is Essex and Made In Chelsea – but now the stars have ended up in completely different jobs following their stint on the TV.

The show started in November 2011 and ran for a total of eight episodes before it was cancelled.

Ratings of the reality show plummeted after initially receiving high viewing figures – which meant E4 bosses had to cancel any future episodes indefinitely.

Eight years on from when the show first aired, here's a look at what the main cast are up to now.

Amanda Harrington

38-year-old Amanda was already semi-famous in Liverpool before making an appearance on the show due to her Miss Liverpool title.

She was crowned the winner aged 16 and following her success, Amanda went into a modelling career.

Since her debut on the reality TV show, Amanda has set up her own business – a weight loss and wellness company called ZeroFat.

Despite the new venture, she hasn't ditched the modelling career as of yet but has also appeared in pantomime as the good fairy in Epstein's production of Snow White, alongside soap stars and other reality TV personalities.

Amanda's Instagram account portrays her lavish lifestyle, with photos of her travelling the world and flying to locations such as Ibiza, Mallorca, Mykonos and New York.

Jodie Lundstram

Hair and make-up artist Jodie began life on the show after living in London.

The TV personality, who was the beating heart of the series, is a beautician and creator of the Scouse brow.

As well as running her business, Jodie has a young daughter called Viva and is currently pregnant with her second child.

Chloe Cummings

Chloe, 29, rose to fame after appearing on Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model in 2009 aged 18.

At the time she was a student nurse and hoped to follow in her cousin Abbey Clancy's footsteps to become a model.

On the show Amanda showed her the tricks of the trade and cousin Sean Clancy was very protective of her.

Debbie O'Toole

Debbie is the younger sister of cast member Gill O'Toole and had formerly been crowned Miss Liverpool.

In 2015 the reality star flew out to Las Vegas to represent England in the Miss Tropic Beauty bikini competition – she came third out of 100 women.

Most recently she has become an aesthetic practitioner and specialises in brow, lash and skin treatments – living in Marbella.

Gill O'Toole

Gill is the older sister of Debbie who appeared on the show, who said she was desperate to settle down and get married.

In 2013 she married LA film producer Charley Lodi just 24 hours after meeting him – the couple are no longer together.

Shortly after in 2014, Gill set up her own jewellery company Gillibean jewels and announced she was returning to her former career as an estate agent.

Much like the other girls, she has set her social media accounts to private and avoided the spotlight.

Layla Flaherty

Layla had lived in Liverpool for eight years and was a part-time model and psychology student when she made her show debut.

She is remembered for her on-off romance with fellow cast member Joe McMahon as it became one of the show's iconic storylines.

The star continued to carry on her reality show stint and appeared on Celebrity Salon before entering herself in the Real Housewives of Cheshire.

And when the show ended, Layla set up her own business called Urban Paws UK – which is her main business today.

Her Instagram account is private, but Layla's bio says "Yer one off the telly, Irish, Taurus."
