The old video makes its way out online shortly after the ‘Say So’ hitmaker declares she is ‘a black woman’ and is ‘very proud of where I come from’ in her apology for her involvement in TinyChat groups.
AceShowbiz –Doja Cat isn’t done battling racism accusation after releasing an apology for joining TinyChat groups. Shortly after she posted her statement on Instagram, an old video has surfaced online of her complaining about her 4C hair texture.
“4C can suck my a**,” she ranted in the video. “4C can bend over and lick my a**.” Blaming God for giving her the hair texture, she added, “Jesus Christ…why even God was making this 4C hair.”
Type 4C hair is basically black hair, which is identified with hair as densely packed as 4B, just with less definition as well as more shrinkage. The hair texture is tightly coiled like all type 4s.
After watching the video, one Instagram user predicted Doja’s grim future, “Not even lebron in the 2016 finals could come back from this.” Another exclaimed, “CANCEL HER ALREADY !!” while a third user noted, “She really hate herself so much it’s depressing.”
Her complaint about her hair texture appears to contradict her statement in her apology, in which she proudly declared, I’m a black woman. Half of my family is black from South Africa and I’m very proud of where I come from.”
In the said Instagram post, the 24-year-old singer/rapper admitted to joining TinyChat groups which are known to be racist, but denied that she ever made racist comments. “I’ve used public chat rooms to socialize since I was a child. I shouldn’t have been on some of those chat room sites, but I personally have never been involved in any racist conversations. I’m sorry to everyone that I offended,” so she wrote.
“I understand my influence and impact and I’m taking this all very seriously,” she added in the post, “I love you all and I’m sorry for upsetting or hurting any of you. That’s not my character, and I’m determined to shot that to everybody moving forward. Thank you.”
Not everyone, however, is taking Doja’s apology, with some saying that she was being insincere with her apology. Also calling out the “Mooo!” singer was rapper Blueface, who wrote on the comment on her apology, “CAP.”
