Shirley Ballas has said she wants her breast implants removed after discovering her family's history with cancer.
The Strictly Come Dancing head judge says she's worried her implants could hinder the detection of the disease.
She made the discovery about her history during an appearance on BBC's Who Do You Think You Are?
After finding out her great grandfather died from the disease, the 59-year-old dancer told the Sunday Times : "I've had breast augmentation. It makes me take a step back and think when you go for these mammograms, 'Can you see at the back? Is it clear what you can see?'
"It's making me sit back and think, 'Shall I remove them? Would it be a good safety precaution for me?'"
Until taking part in the show, Shirley had always believed that her relative died of a "broken heart" after his wife passed away.
She's since visited a doctor to discuss what the "best route healthwise" would be for her and to find out more about having her cosmetic surgery reversed if she chooses to go ahead.
Concerns have been mounting recently over a possible link between breast augmentation and cancer, with a medical watchdog warning that there could be a rare form of cancer linked to implants, which could be under-diagnosed.
Shirley admitted she's become "more paranoid about the whole cancer thing" and said she's planning to host a coffee morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Last year, Shirley opened up about a breast cancer scare.
Sharing a picture of an awareness poster on Instagram , she said: "I had a routine check at the doctors and she was not happy with what she felt and saw in my breast.
"Immediately sent me to Clatterbridge Hospital for a mammogram and ultra sound."
