Stacey Solomon has let her daughter Rose "go wild" with paint as they decorate the youngster's bedroom wall together.

The mum-of-five, 33, has been painting a tree on the wall, with Rose joining in and painting some pink grass underneath the sweet picture.

Sharing a video of the pair hard at work to her Instagram Story, Stacey added the text: "Rose woke up before I even divested my toast so I put Belle down and spent some time with Rosey carrying on with the tree in their room [smiley face emoji]

"It was too spindley and skinny so I packed it out and made it bushy, we covered everything in old sheets and blankets & I let Rose go wild on the walls too [laughing emoji]"

She followed this with a snap of the work-in-progress, writing: "Getting there. I started painting over Rose's beautiful pin grass [laughing emoji]

"Only because I wanted to draw two silhouettes under the tree holding hands for the girls but I ran out of time… I'll get there eventually [white heart emoji] [prayer hands emoji] I think this is so much better now though [white heart emoji]"

It comes after Stacey's husband, former EastEnders actor Joe Swash, opened up to OK! about the pair's home life and blended family.

The couple share son Rex, four, and daughters one-year-old Rose and four-month-old Belle. Stacey has two sons Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11, from previous relationships, while Joe shares son Harry, 15 with ex-partner Emma Sophocleous.

Talking about his and Stacey's different parent styles, Joe shared that the Loose Women panellist will sometimes have to act as the "bad cop" when it comes to enforcing rules.

He told us: "I would say my parenting style is a little bit chaotic. Stacey will say to me that I never follow through with my rules.

"Someone will do something and I’ll have to tell them off, and then I feel guilty so I’ll go back five minutes later and give them a cuddle and a bit of chocolate when she’s not looking. So I’d say I’m the fun parent."

He continued: “Stacey doesn’t like it but she has to be the bad one. Someone’s got to do it. She’s forever telling me, ‘I’m always the bad one!’ But there’s always got to be a bad one and I can’t do it!”

Discussing the future, Joe shared that he and Stacey are "addicted to having babies", telling us: "We’re at number six now.

"The baby bit goes so fast, and then before you know it, they’re toddlers – then you yearn for babies again. We’re slightly addicted to babies – it’s so nice to be needed. You think, ‘Six has to be it,’ but I’d never say never."
