S Club fans at a concert in Liverpool were evacuated after the gig was plunged into darkness.
The iconinc 90s pop group had already postponed their performance at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena on October 13 due to a fire. Now people attending the rescheduled gig were evacuated on Monday, October 30.
It is not yet known what exactly caused the arena to be evacuated, reports the Echo. Although the M&S Bank Arena says it was a “minor incident”.
A spokesman said: “As S Club were close to finishing their set at the arena, there was a minor incident which triggered a partial evacuation. The issue was resolved quickly and we were able to restart the show.

“We will be launching a full investigation. The safety of the audience, staff and performers is always our primary concern.”
According to The Mirror, social media users say there was reportedly another fire at the building. On X, one wrote: “Seeing S Club. There was a fire and we got evacuated.”
A second S Club fan added: “Another fire at the #MandSBankArena in Liverpool. S Club aren’t having the best of luck with this arena.”

A third quipped: “S club being evacuated in the middle of singing “alive” is quite possibly one of the hysterically ironic things I’ve ever witnessed. Turns out, we do all stop moving eventually.”
Concertgoer Lottie Gibbons, who works for The ECHO said: “Literally got plunged into darkness on stage during the 15th song out of 18. The fire alarms started going off and we were all waiting outside the arena.”
