Rachel Stevens has shared a gorgeous photo of her two daughters as she celebrates International Women's Day.

The 42 year old is mum to 10 year old Amelie and six year old Minnie, who she shares with husband Alex Bourne.

Former S Club 7 singer Rachel rarely shares photos of Amelie and Minnie's faces on social media, but decided to do so as she marks the day.

Her beautiful black and white photo sees Rachel wrapping her arms around her two daughters as the trio all beam at the camera.

She wrote alongside the family snap: "Here's to strong, amazing women. May we know them, May we be them, May we raise them.

"Being a mother to my wonderful girls is my biggest achievement and raising them to believe in themselves and to lift other girls up is so important to me.

"Here's to all you incredible women out there and to teaching the younger female generation to love themselves for who they are, to think big and to follow their dreams."

Fans rushed to comment on the photo, with one writing: "What a lovely photo. Those smiles."

A second added: "Gorgeous and your eldest looks so much like you."

The stunning new image comes just weeks after Rachel recalled how she met their dad, her childhood sweetheart, during an interview on Loose Women.

Joining Charlene White, Denise Welch, Janet Street-Porter and former S Club Juniors member Frankie Bridge, she spoke about how her and Alex reconnected after spending years apart.

She said: "We were boyfriend and girlfriend when we were 12. We were boyfriend and girlfriend on and off during our teens until I got into the band, and he went off and did his stuff.

"Then we bumped into each other randomly in our late twenties, and at that point I'd sworn off men, but it was really lovely to see him.

"But I was going off to LA at the time, so no, but then we reconnected. We obviously had all of that history and now, the rest is history."

Sweet Dreams My LA Ex hitmaker Rachel posted a gorgeous tribute to her husband on Valentine's Day, sharing a number of photos of themselves through their lifelong relationship with her 208,000 Instagram followers.

She wrote: "Puppy love, young love, first love, true love, forever and always love. Happy Valentines Day," tagging her beau.
