Peter Kay's Car Share is set to return as the comedian has said he wants to "cheer people up" amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The 46 year old, who recently cancelled his first live tour in 11 years just three weeks after announcing his comeback, announced today that he's teamed up with his former co-star Sian Gibson, 43, and TV script writer Paul Coleman to create a new episode.
In a statement, he said: "It's a horrific situation right now we're all going through and like so many people I feel compelled to try to do something positive in an attempt to cheer people up in some way.

"Sian Gibson, Paul Coleman and myself got together via t'internet and wrote a new short episode of Car Share.
"It all happened very quickly – in fact, it didn't exist a week ago."
The show, which aired between 2015 and 2018, will be an audio episode and will be available to download on Friday 10 April.
Before signing off, Peter added: "Obviously we weren't able to film anything because of the lockdown but I hope people will use their imagination and enjoy listening."
The actor also shared the news on Twitter, where hundreds of his 760,100 followers were quick to express their joy over it.
One person wrote: "Starting to think this lockdown is the best thing that's ever happened ha xxx". [sic]
Another said: "I am so happy! I am actually crying!" as a third added: "Omg omg omg omgggggggggggggg I always said we hadn’t seen the last of them even if it is audio," [sic] alongside a smiley face and a heart eyes emoji.

While a third commented: "Was having a rough day & now it's happy tears…so much bad news lately…and now there's this! x". [sic]
Peter has also been announced as one of the acts to join the BBC coronavirus charity show, The Big Night In, which is due to air on April 23.
Lenny Henry announced the exciting news on Tuesday's episode of The One Show, where the 61 year old said: "Peter Kay will be involved, there will be musical guests, it will just be a really fun night to cheer people up during the crisis.

"And of course if people want to donate, give a bit of money to help, they can, to help any of the small charities across the country, who help people of any age who need it."
Assuring people that they are not obligated to give money over, he added: "Even if you can't donate, just watch it will cheer you up."
