Jessica Simpson has a new memoir coming out called Open Book, and it’s already given us some juicy details about her past relationships.

She writes about her relationship with John Mayer, saying, “Again and again, he told me he was obsessed with me, sexually and emotionally,” and that she “constantly worried” she wasn’t smart enough for him. She also dished about kissing Justin Timberlake, saying that he kissed her to win a bet with Ryan Gosling.

And when Jessica appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote the book earlier this week, she said that she wasn’t nervous about anyone’s reaction to it, and also that she didn’t run it by everyone in the book, because, “I think they might know what stories I’m going to say.” And it looks like one person who didn’t get to read the book before it was published is her ex-husband Nick Lachey—and he doesn’t seem too happy about it!

Yesterday when he was asked Jessica’s new book, Nick told Us Weekly, “Well, no, I have not read a single word. Both of us [Nick and his wife, Vanessa Lachey] have not read the book, and no, she did not reach out before it was published.”

However, it doesn’t seem like Jessica says anything bad about Nick. In an expert from the book she writes, “We meant a lot to each other and we always will. I want to be very respectful because I married him for a reason and we were together for seven years for a reason. He has a family now and I would never say anything to disrespect that.” So maybe Nick has nothing to worry about!
