Mick Fleetwood says he is heartbroken over the loss of his Hawaii restaurant in the Maui fires.
Fleetwood’s restaurant, “Fleetwood’s” on Front Street, was destroyed in the wildfires that began raging across the island of Maui on August 8.
“Maui and the Lahaina community have been my home for several decades,” the Fleetwood Mac co-founder wrote on social media.
He added, “This is a devastating moment for MAUI and many are suffering unimaginable loss. Fleetwoods on front (sic.) Street has been lost and while we are heartbroken our main priority is the safety of our dear staff and team members.”
Fleetwood offered support to the community and those affected by the disaster “in the days and months and years to come.”
Fleetwood has been residing for many years in West Maui.
The multiple, simultaneous wildfires have so far claimed the lives of 96 people and left hundreds of others missing, as per the Maui Police Department.
