Metallica have been confirmed as headliners for five festivals in 2020 in the U.S. produced by Danny Wimmer Presents.
The band will headline at the Epicenter, Welcome to Rockville, Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life and Aftershock festivals, playing two separate headlining sets at each stop.
The rock band will first play on the Friday night and then will play a completely different setlist the Sunday night of each festival.
Epicenter will take place May 1-3 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. Welcome to Rockville will take place at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, on May 8-10.
Sonic Temple is scheduled for May 15-17 at Columbus, Ohio’s MAPFRE Stadium. Louder Than Life will take place at the KY Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 18-20 and Aftershock is set to take place at Sacramento, California’s Discovery Park on October 9-11.
General public ticket sales will begin on Monday, October 14 at 9:00 AM PT / Noon ET.
“Metallica isn’t just another headliner. When Metallica takes the stage, it’s an event. It’s an experience,” said Danny Wimmer, founder of Danny Wimmer Presents.
“That’s the same standard we’ve set for every DWP festival – from the first band to the last band, and everything that happens in between,” he added. “I can’t wait to bring the biggest band in the world to the biggest rock festivals in America.”
