Meghan McCain has finally found something to talk about aside from reminding everyone about the identity of her late father.

And that something is reportedly this:

She is sick and tired of being a panelist on The View.

McCain has been a lead member of this morning talk show since 2017, typically serving as the show’s sole Conservative voice.

As such, she’s often battled fellow hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin during debates over various Hot Topics — and she may finally be irritated by this role, sources tell The Daily Beast.

“It’s getting to the point where it’s not worth the emotional toll every week,” this outlet writes, quoting a supposed friend of the star’s. “If she doesn’t stay at The View, she will find other work.”

Another insider, meanwhile, describes McCain as feeling liked a “caged animal” on The View, adding that she’s just “so exhausted and defeated” these days.

This story has grown to such a viral point that the show itself has now responded.

“We don’t want people to attack Meghan. We’re happy to have Meghan there,” Hilary Estey McLoughlin, the program’s senior executive producer, told The Daily Beast.

“I think she does want to be there. I think she wants to be on the show. She realizes it’s a very good platform for her and we love having her there. I feel like she will come back.”

McCain has come under fire of late for espousing her views and also for endlessly talking about her father, former Arizona Senator and Presidential candidate John McCain.

He died in August of last year.

McCain makes just under $1 million per year, which isn’t terrible.

But money can’t buy one happiness, we once heard.

During an April episode of The View, for example, McCain talked over Behar during a discussion of the immigration crisis — and when Behar pointed out that she had let McCain say her piece without interruption, McCain scoffed and fired back:

“Yeah, well, part of your job is to listen to me.”

A significant part of The View is to talk about important topics such as these… but it’s been clear for awhile now that there’s some real personal animosity between McCain and her colleagues.

Some personal lines have been crossed.

Perhaps proving McCain’s point that she’s treated unfairly, social media users responded to this report by basically trashing the host.

“It’s wild that Meghan McCain is considering leaving The View, considering her job there really lets her play to her strengths: saying her dad’s name and being wrong all the time,” Tweeted stand-up comedian Josh Gondelman.

“Cry me a river. Meghan McCain should visit [Donald Trump’s] lockups on the border, where kidnapped kids literally *are* in cages,” added former Congressional candidate Dr. Dena Grayson.

“Hey [The View], if Meghan McCain is tired of the platform she’s been given on national television, I’m your girl. And I’ll do it for a fraction of what she’s getting paid,” wrote civil rights activist and writer Charlotte Clymer.

So there you have it.
