Former Love Island star Megan Barton-Hanson wants to put her free time in lockdown to good use by donating sex toys to the NHS and this is truly God’s work.
Don’t worry – she’s not raiding her own collection to keep the doctors and nurses on the frontline happy in the boudoir, but her intentions are still golden and as charitable as ever.
We can’t help but applaud a woman who wants the nation to be freer in discussing self-pleasure, but also someone who is keen to get in and make it happen, so to speak.
The 26-year-old, who is currently isolating alongside her family at their home is Essex – has already shared her want to give out sex toys to those finding quarantine a little lonely, as the director of Ann Summers’ Pleasure Positivity Project.
Now speaking to New magazine, she said she wants to go one step further to help those who are saving lives each day.
She said: ‘I had so many messages from nurses when I did a giveaway and I had so many messages from partners of nurses.
‘So, it would be a great idea to team up with Ann Summers and do a giveaway for the NHS.’
Megan continued: ‘It’s such an awful time right now, but it’s so inspiring and I’m so proud of how we’ve all come together and supported each other through this difficult time.’
The star – who was dating Chelcee Grimes – previously said she wanted to improve everyone’s mental wellbeing by giving away a bunch of goodies.
She wrote: ‘Hi everyone! What a weird and crazy week this has been. I’ve been speaking to the team at Ann Summers and thinking of a way we can help everyone now we have more time on our hands.
‘Some of us will be spending more time alone, but the lucky ones will be spending more time with a partner – time that we don’t usually get. At Ann Summers, we wanted to help the best way we know how …’
Adding to the magazine it was important for people to ‘take this time and love yourself’, Megan said: ‘Men have been speaking about masturbation for years and years, so it’s breaking down those taboos and allowing women to enjoy themselves while we’ve got this extra time on our hands.’
Hear hear.
