Love is in the air with TV’s Richard Osman! 6ft 7in Pointless host steps out with Doctor Who star (but romance has always been a tall order for him)

It looks like a romantic stroll. But it’s unlikely this couple will be gazing lovingly into each other’s eyes.

For this is Richard Osman, all 6ft 7in of him, towering over actress Ingrid Oliver.

The Pointless quiz show host and Miss Oliver – who is believed to be 5ft 7in – were spotted walking hand in hand while shopping in west London.

Osman, 50, who wrote bestseller The Thursday Murder Club, wore jeans and a dark green jacket.

Meanwhile, Miss Oliver, 44, who played Petronella Osgood in Doctor Who, wrapped up warm in a long black coat. 

The couple have known each other for years after meeting through mutual friends.

They reportedly got together at a dinner party after the first lockdown. And a source said that the award-winning author had told friends that ‘Ingrid is the one’.

Osman divorced his wife in 2007 and has two children, Ruby and Sonny, with her. 

In the last few years, Osman has dated – and towered over – jazz singer Sumudu Jayatilaka and Absolute Radio host Emily Dean.
