Logan Paul has said he’s going to contest the Commission after his loss against KSI in their highly anticipated boxing rematch.
The American star lost by a narrow margin, with a split decision from the judges and said he should have been given a warning mid-fight.
The YouTuber had two points taken away after it was ruled that he had hit KSI – real name Olajide ‘JJ’ Olatunji – while he was down.
Logan’s best friend Mike Majlak tweeted: ‘Contesting the two point takeaway with the commission. no warning. props to @KSIOlajidebt but that two pointer decided the fight. let’s see what happens.’
Speaking after the match, the 24-year-old also said: ‘I would love to contest the Commission.’
The decision hasn’t been popular with fans, with one writing: ‘Take the L.’
‘You can’t hold a head down and throw a uppercut and then punch on the ground that’s where the 2 points cane in [sic],’ another said.
KSI triumphed after being the underdog, taking the victory from a split decision after a fierce fight against his American opponent, with the pair coming to blows at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Speaking after his win, KSI said: ‘KSI last time was scared, I was scared to fight, I was scared to touch him…this time I went in, I just kept going.
‘They saw how much bigger [Logan] was, they saw his physique…I said “Screw that, I’m going to work my ass off.”‘
The 26-year-old added: ‘I’ve never worked so hard…I was ready, I was on fire. He couldn’t deal with my jabs. He kept moving, but hey, I got him.’
Admitting he now respects Logan, he said: ‘You’re a big man. You made me work today. Thank you for a good fight, bro.’
Logan went on to say: ‘Fair play to JJ, you are the toughest person I know. You deserve everything you have earnt.’
