Linda Lusardi, 61, is now recovering at home after spending ten days in hospital where she tested positive for coronavirus. The model and her husband Sam Kane, 51, both suffered from the virus and were left feeling hopeless a few days before they were hospitalised.
Linda told The Sun: “It got to the stage where both of us were praying we wouldn’t wake up because it was so bad.”
Sam added: “We just looked at each other and said, ‘Look, we can’t take this anymore’.
“It was horrific. It was like the devil’s hands were strangling me and holding me down and laughing in my face.
“It’s the deepest, darkest place we’ve ever been.

“We just thought that if we don’t wake up, it’s not the end of the world.”
The showbiz agent and actor explained he believes he contracted the disease first during a business meeting before strict social distancing measures were enforced.
Linda went on to reveal details about her shocking symptoms, which included “blue vomit”.
She recalled to the publication: “I started to get a fever, feeling rough and carried on, but it got worse and worse.
“Your head hurts, your brain hurts and you feel like an elephant is sitting on you.
“I remember crawling to the bathroom putting my face on the tile floor, and then almost trying to make myself sick just to get a light relief for five minutes afterwards.
“I was leaning over the edge of the bed coughing and spitting into a bucket. Your vomit is blue.”
Linda said her test results for the virus were initially negative, but they confirmed she had “zero oxygen” in her blood and that she had pneumonia.

She then tested positive for COVID-19 the following day.
Sam left hospital a few days before Linda and continued to update concerned fans on her health.
Last weekend, Sam praised the NHS for helping his other half in view of his 13,000 Twitter followers.
He wrote: “So blessed to be spending tonight with my beautiful girl at home by my side.

Linda previously told fans she and Sam had “never felt this ill” before she was admitted into hospital.
She tweeted in view of her 41,000 followers last month: “I want to thank you all for your good wishes. Sam and I have had COVID-19 symptoms and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else.
“We are taking it one-day-at-a-time, that’s all we can do. But let me tell you we’ve never felt this ill, EVER!”
