Kylie Jenner has found herself in yet another Instagram controversy.
Earlier this month, the 21-year-old shared two “twin pics” of herself and her friend Anastasia Karanikolaou during their girls’ trip to Turks and Caicos. Going for a “vacation, but make it fashion” vibe, the two were seen in baby blue outfits posing in different parts of the resort they were staying at.
Unfortunately, the beauty mogul’s eagle-eyed IG followers couldn’t help but spoil the fun by accusing Kylie of altering both photos to make her waist appear slimmer!
That’s right. We’re talking about a photoshop fail we haven’t seen the likes of since Britney Spears’ cabinet debacle back in June!
The giveaway in the first picture was an unfortunately placed stripped pillow the KUWTK star was sitting right next to. As you can see (below), the stripes go from straight to curvy as they approach the posing star:
Users felt the need to call Kylie out, leaving comments like:
“Next time you photoshop your pictures make sure you’re not sitting in front of a pillow with stripes ;)”
“Photoshop fail Kylie”
“#Oh no! A photoshopped pic on IG?! MADNESS!”
The second picture (below), which showed the Kylie’s Cosmetics CEO and Stassie turning the resort’s courtyard into their own personal runway, featured a warped walkway many fans believed was evidence of moderate-to-severe image doctoring.
Now, we should note the overwhelming majority of comments were applauding the ladies for how good they looked.
Not everyone was fooled, though, as users wrote the following:
“Funny how their bodies look the exact same you know what that means.”
“Bff goals except I want all my body parts to be real”
“@stephtibrani do you photoshop your pictures? Maybe thats why you don’t look like them.”
Hell hath no fury like Kylie’s followers scorned.
Interestingly enough, the photoshop scandal came days after the momma of one spoke about her life not being “perfect” and there being more to her than what fans see on her social pages.
She explained in an IG post:
“I keep a whole lot to myself but just wanted to share and let you know I’m human. my life is not perfect and what you see here on social media is just the surface. be gentle with yourself, move on, and let go. we are all capable of great things, worthy of love, and allowed to express ourselves. do more of what makes you happy and be unapologetic. now is your season we all have a magnificent destiny.”
That’s also some good advice for the critics of her photoshop fail: “be gentle with yourself, move on, and let go.”
We have a feeling she already forgot about it!
