In new pictures, the 10-year-old girl, whom the rapper shares with ex Kim Kardashian, can be seen modeling a white zip-up hoodie from the unreleased Yeezy clothes from its season 9 collection.
AceShowbiz –Kanye West landed in hot water for his yet another controversial outfit. The “Donda” artist faced backlash for dressing his daughter North West in a hoodie that many deemed “racist.”
In new pictures, the 10-year-old could be seen modeling a white zip-up hoodie from the unreleased Yeezy clothes from its season 9 collection. The said controversial hoodie featured a pointed hood that covered North face. It also had also small eye holes.
Fans quickly pointed out that the hoodie design might be inspired by the white hood that was worn by white supremacist group Ku Klux Klan. Both have a pointed shape of the hood and cover the wearer’s face.
A fan posted the pictures on Reddit, blasting the Chicago rapper for including his daughter, whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Kardashian, in the clothes. “I live in the south and I don’t like it. Makes me mad his little blk [sic] daughter is wearing it and she doesn’t understand the disdain for this look. Maybe if it was purple or blue I wouldn’t feel the same,” the fan wrote.
Another fan asked, “Why is he not protecting his daughter?” Someone, meanwhile, dragged Kim into the mix by criticizing her for her “hands-off” approach to Kanye’s parenting. “I admire Kim for not letting her issues with Kanye affect the children, but at this point she needs to step in and say absolutely not. Putting your kid is what is essentially a KKK hoodie is crossing way over the line,” said the fan.
Ye dropped season 9 of his Yeezy collection in October 2022 during Paris Fashion Week. While the KKK hoodie didn’t make the cut, the “Gold Digger” rhymer faced backlash for his “White Lives Matter” T-shirts. The controversy grew even much bigger with the rapper making anti-Semitic comments that led to him being canceled by his collaborators, including Balenciaga and GAP.
