A Place In The Sun pay tribute to Jonnie Irwin
After years of helping others find their place in the sun, Jasmine Harman has relocated to Spain with her husband and their children.
Speaking exclusively to Hello Magazine, the 47-year-old A Place in the Sun presenter has spoken about how the move feels even more poignant after seeing friends and family endure illness and bereavement.
She said: “We have had friends – including Jonnie, obviously – who have had life-changing illnesses and diagnoses. And we have had bereavements, too, that have made us take stock of things. You never know what is around the corner.
“I say that to my house hunters – for a lot of people, losing someone or a health scare can be a catalyst for them to decide: ‘Let’s do this. It’s now or never. Life’s too short to mess around.'”
She also revealed that she has been in touch with her former co-host Jonnie Irwin and made plans for him and his family to go visit her in her new home located in the coastal town of Estepona in the Costa Del Sol.

Speaking of their plans, she told the magazine: “I’ve been chatting to Jonnie and we’ve been messaging and he said he is going to come over and visit us. He is a very, very special friend to me. I would love it if he and Jess and the kids are able to come.”
Jonnie, 49, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2020 and told by doctors that he only had six months to live.
After defying the odds, he went public with his diagnosis in November 2022 after the cancer spread to his brain.
He now shares updates on his condition through social media as he attempts to spend as much time with his wife Jessica and their three children, Rex, four and twins Rafa and Cormac, three.

Speaking back in June, the A Place in the Sun presenter expressed his regrets at having to work despite his diagnosis.
Speaking on a podcast by AIG Life, he said: “I didn’t take critical illness insurance out and therefore, I had to keep working.
“Without work, I’ve got no means of paying the bills. And if I had taken the critical illness insurance out, that could’ve covered my outgoings, and I probably could’ve told the world my condition a lot sooner.”
In his latest Instagram post, Jonnie shared a picture of him and his wife out enjoying dinner with his 224,000 followers.
Captioning the sweet snap he wrote: “7 years married to this Angel. I use this term because the love she shows to others is beyond comparison. Last night was just us; chatting, planning and gossiping. So good. Amazing food and staff at @lovagejesmond made our evening perfect. #anniversary”
Jasmine was one of the first to comment writing: “Gosh 7 years! I remember your wedding day like yesterday! Lots of love to you both and Happy Anniversary.”
Other fans also joined in congratulating the couple with one writing: “Happy Anniversary to you both and wishing many more happy years together, from your fans in Australia,” and another saying: “Happy Anniversary to such a beautiful couple. Jonnie you look great”.
A third also added: “Happy anniversary to you both and your looking very well Jonnie keep doing what your doing x.”
