Well, it looks like Jenelle Evans is trying to make a comeback.
Of course, considering she was never that famous or well-liked to begin with, Jenelle doesn’t have a whole lot to come back to — but she’s trying to remain relevant in the hope that she’ll be able to live out her entire life without putting in a single day at a real job.
That’s a lofty goal, of course, and it’s put even further out of reach by the fact that Jenelle has three kids and a husband to support.
Yes, David Eason is able-bodied, and he has nothing but time on his hands — but apparently, the guy’s just not a fan of jobs.
To be fair, when he married Jenelle, he probably thought he would never have to work again.
Which is just one reason that his current destitution is no one’s fault but his own.
As you probably recall, David shot and killed the family dog in front of his kids, which led to the CPS investigation that caused Eason and Evans to lose custody of their children.
Even the famously permissive producers of Teen Mom 2 wanted nothing to do with that mess, and the Easons were let go from what will apparently be their last job ever.
So yeah, it’s safe to say that David has cost Jenelle a whole lot, but pretending to be happy is part of her comeback plan (no one wants a reality show about a sad-sack mom stranded in the middle of nowhere), so she’s all-in on acting like she made the right call when she got back together with the guy.
“Most supportive husband evrrrrrrrr, idc if you think otherwise. #MarriedLife,” Evans captioned the photo above this week.
For obvious reasons, commenters had a field day with Jenelle’s struggle caption.
“What exactly is he supporting?” one person asked.
“This proves she is delusional. He literally ruined her career and her income and her life. Does she forget this or just pretend it never happened!!” another wrote.
“If you have to constantly post on social media how great your relationship then it’s probably not that great,” a third chimed in.
Many pointed out that killing the dog during a fit of rage is just one of many terrible things that David has done.
“Wow good thing he caused all those problems so he could support her through them,” one commented.
“Call me bat-s–t crazy, but think the most supportive husband ever would find a way to be financially SUPPORTIVE to his family,” another added, pointing to the fact that David hasn’t earned a dime in years.
“Heaven forbid we have some foresight.”
Yes, Jenelle’s effort to rebuild her mangled reputation will certainly be an uphll battle.
Making matters worse is the fact that mainstream media outlets want nothing to do with the Easons, so instead of appearing on television — a medium where Jenelle used to pull in audiences in the millions — they’re forced to plea their case on the internet.
Usually, this means misleading social media posts, but last week, the Easons weaseled their way on to an online-only talk show hosted by conservative provocateur Candace Owens.
“We had Bristol Palin on the week before,” Owens noted when justifiying her bizarre decision to briefly involve herself with the Easons.
“She didn’t have a good experience on Teen Mom, which she opened up to us about and said that she felt like they were looking for drama. So I was very curious to kind of talk to Jenelle about that,” Candace added, pretending like there’s a journalistic component to all of this, and she’s not just taking whatever guests are available.
“Like, is MTV using teenagers to kind of make millions of dollars? And then, you know obviously, Jenelle notoriously got dropped from Teen Mom because her now husband David Eason shot the dog.”
Candace is either lying, or she doesn’t know that the dog incident was merely the straw that broke the camel’s back.
Someone on her research team should tell Ms. Owens about the time that Jenelle wished death on a US soldier who was soon to be deployed to Iraq.
We’re sure her ‘Murica first audience would love that.
