Jenelle Evans is rekindling her marriage with husband David Eason — and she’s not shy about talking directly to her fans about what went into that decision.

The former Teen Mom 2 star is officially back together with her longtime love, and she announced the news in a YouTube Q&A video for fans this week. In the video, the 28-year-old reality TV star went deep on why she took Eason back and shared details about their relationship and reconciliation.

As you’ll no doubt recall, Eason rose to international infamy last year over the death of Jenelle’s beloved French bulldog, Nugget. Tensions spiked in the couple’s relationship in the months after, and by October, Evans had split off from Eason, obtained a temporary restraining order, moved out of their eastern North Carolina home, and settled down in Nashville.

The reality TV star dropped the restraining order earlier this year, and last month, she and Eason were seen out and about together in the central Tennessee town, sparking reconciliation rumors at the time. And now, well, it’s official — Jenelle announced as much in the video this week, revealing she’s now back in North Carolina and “living here permanently.”

The former MTV star added more in explaining her decision to get back with Eason, revealing some interesting info when she claimed outright that he never abused her during the course of their long, intense relationship. The reality TV veteran said:

“A lot of things have changed. Me and him have decided to just remain positive no matter what and if we have an issue, we really need to talk it out. I wanna’ tell you guys that David has never abused the children, he has never abused me. We have always had disagreements and those disagreements would turn into big arguments and this is the reason why I decided to go back home and work out my relationship because ultimately, this is for my family.”

Ummmm…. very interesting.

The young mom, who shares 3-year-old daughter Ensley with Eason and is also mother to sons Jace, 10, and Kaiser, 5, went on to reveal that financial questions played a major role in her decision to return home, as well:

“The reason why I came to North Carolina is because I cannot afford rent and a mortgage, I have to choose one or the other. I have a house here that I own, I don’t own the apartment in Tennessee, so I decided to move back. All the kids have their own space here, it’s very spacious, we have 11 acres of land for them to play on. Kaiser and Ensley, they really miss the animals, they really miss the chickens, the goats, everything. So we decided to come back here and things are going pretty smooth.”

Oh, Jenelle… come on girl!!!

Interestingly, she also revealed on video that it was actually her idea to reconcile, and she made the first move in getting back together with her embattled husband. Not wanting to go through “another failed marriage,” the reality TV alum opted to swallow her pride and try to work things out for their family:

“While I was in Tennessee, I’m not gonna lie, I contacted David first and I told him, I said, ‘I’m sorry,’ and he contacted me back and he said, ‘For what?’ and I said, ‘I think we just ended things abruptly and I think we need to try to work things out for our family and our marriage. And he said, ‘okay.’ So once we started talking again, you know he did come visit two or three times and when he did, before I moved back to North Carolina, I told him, ‘Things have got to change. We cannot be so unhappy. We have to start communicating with each other about our problems and we have to sort it out and we can’t let the same thing keep happening or the same topic for an argument keep occurring.’”

Well then. Is that reason enough to get back together, especially after so much drama — legal and otherwise?
